It’s the height of summer with heat waves and thunderstorms, but planning for snow is a year-round effort in Fairfax County. It’s never too early to think about the white stuff — and perhaps dream about it as a significant heat wave is about to overtake us.
On Tuesday, the Board of Supervisors talked about snow with our transportation and public works teams as a follow up to a summit held in March. Many post-blizzard items were discussed, including pedestrian issues, snow removal and emergency routes (no official actions were voted on as this was a board committee meeting).
